Yes...almost! You can enter all the information about your new company and pay
the registration fees and employer deposits online. However, you must print the
filing report, sign it and FAX it to (304) 558-8089 to meet the signature requirements
of law.
If you are starting a chartered entity (a corporation or LLC, for example) your
online filing will include the Secretary of State filing. If you have already
registered with the Secretary of State, you may not complete the rest of the filing
online at this time.

First, provide complete information. This will prevent time-consuming
corrections as the filing is processed.
Second, print, sign and fax all the registration pages to (304) 558-8089 without a coversheet.
The fax is automatically matched to your registration if the barcode is on the first page. Using
a cover sheet means the fax will have to be matched by hand and will slow your registration.
Missing faxes are by far the MOST FREQUENT cause of delay. After you submit the filing and pay the
fees, you will arrive at a page with instructions for printing and faxing the registration. If you have already
submitted the filing, you will find a link in your filing cabinet menu to print the registration forms.
If you register a chartered business, there are two different forms -- public information for the Secretary of State and
complete information for the State Tax Department, Unemployment Compensation and Workers' Compensation.

You may delete your partial registration by clicking the Remove button to the
right of the name in your filing cabinet. If you do not click Remove, your
partial registration applications will remain in your personal file folder for
sixty days after your last activity. At that point, you will receive an email
reminding you of the incomplete registration. If you return and continue the
registration within the next thirty days, it will remain active. If you do not
make further changes, it will be deleted from your folder.

Yes. Each application is separately stored in our data system. You will
be able to start as many filings as you need, and select any filing in progress from
your personal filing cabinet for further work. This is ideal for registration professionals,
because your filings are always available and organized in an easy-to-use queue.

After the Secretary of State's Office approves your application, your charter
data will be downloaded immediately to the Secretary of State data system. Your
business should appear on the Secretary of State website's online database
within 24 hours after acceptance.
